Archived from groups: comp>sys>mac>apps (more info?)

I am quite certain that in earlier versions of the OS (perhaps as recent
as 10.3.2), I was able to type accented characters in MTNewswatcher
3.3b1 using the venerable Mac keyboard combinations (e.g., opt-e e for
é). However, in 10.3.3, I am no longer able to do so, though it's
possible to insert such characters from the Character Palette (as I did
for the example in the previous sentence) or to cut-and-paste from an
application in which the key combinations still work, such as Word.X.
I'm not sure when I was last able to enter such combinations, but I just
found a saved post from December 2002 (when I would have been using
10.2.x) with Ordoņez.

MT-NW 3.3b1 has a bug where TSM input (which is used for things
like Japanese, and accented characters) was inadvertently turned
off. This will be fixed in the soon-to-appear 3.4.
