Post subject: Ccan iWeb publish anywhere or just to .Mac?

Subject says it all. Can I just use iWeb as I would Dreamweaver or other
such programs? Can I publish my site anywhere?

Anywhere.

You have to export the site to a folder then use an ftp application to
upload it to your webspace (I love transmit by panic for ftp.

You can publish it from iWeb to a folder, then use other software to
upload the contents of that folder to your web server.

That's true. I publish to some 22 different websites often using
iWeb. Simply download Firefox and the Firefox extension addon called
FireFTP. Create or update your site using iWeb then publish to a
folder on your desktop. Open FireFTP and upload the folder/files
directly to your non-Mac site. I can update a site within minutes
using this method.
