Archived from groups: alt>mac (more info?)

Hi All! Bet you've seen this FRUSTRATING one before... I cannot open
many applications because of this ingredient which has mysteriously
disappeared from my iMac 233MHz running OS9.1. It seems to have
something to do with Quicktime, and is apparently included in Quicktime
6.0 (is that right?). I proceeded to download Quicktime again (I did
have it, but this component seems to have gotten lost) but of course it
needs to be opened with Stuffit, WHICH WILL NOT OPEN WITHOUT
InterfaceLib!! I guess the joke's on me.. hahaha!

In ignorant desperation, I almost re-installed OS 9 from my OS 9 CD (the
only cd I have... a downloaded 9.1 would need.. right.. Stuffit to
open!) but I have finally learned not to do anything rash that I may be
sorry for later, and decided to ask the experts.

The message I get includes the unhelpful advice "You may need to install
a newer version of InterfaceLib...etc." with no hints as to how this
might be possible!

Any advice would be really appreciated.

James
