Post subject: Powerbook problems
Archived from groups: comp>sys>mac>apps (more info?)

I iwn a G3 400/Firewire (2000) running OSX 10.2.8 192m ram, 6GB HD. I
recently had the logic board replced, and yesterday, the display began
to "melt like a film on a projector lamp" when I plugged the power
supply in I should add that I plugged it into the outlet BEFORE I
plugged it into my Powerbook
it went black and wouldn't restart for about 20 minutes or so. This
occurred Friday the 31st at the Soho Apple Store, so we tried a reboot
from an external firewire drive to no avail.

today, it's just up and quitting on me.

I ran /fsck, it made its repairs, I reset the PRAM. and so far so good.
Any ideas as to why this is occuring?

And yes, I am looking at a G4...

thanks
